Your accommodation in Passau
For all judges who have sent back the answer form I have already booked a room in the Hotel Weisser Hase (Heiliggeistgasse 1, 94032 Passau) on their name. If you have not provided me with the answer form yet, please do so as soon as possible. I will then book a room in your name.
The hotel is located within walking distance from the University and highly recommendable.
If there are any changes to your availabilities, please contact me as soon as possible.
Your journey to Passau
Coming from the western or north-western parts of Germany, the Deutsche Bahn will most probably ask you to change trains in Würzburg within only five (5) minutes. Although this connecting time appears to be short, the connecting trains to Passau usually are very well organised. If, however, your first train is delayed, please ask the conductor whether you can also take your connecting train from Nuremberg (Nürnberg). Most trains coming from the western or north-western parts of Germany stop at both cities. Therefore, do not hesitate to book a journey with a connecting train in Würzburg.
On Sunday, 12th March, I am delighted to invite you to a guided city tour through our City of Three Rivers. The tour will be in English and is planned for one and a half hours. It will start at 10h in front of the judges’ hotel. Do not let the opportunity pass to learn something about this beautiful city.
The best destination is Munich Airport (Franz Josef Strauß, three letter code: MUC). From there you might either take a taxi or the Bus No 635 (Direction Freising) to Freising Train Station. The Bus takes you from Terminal 2 to Freising in approximately 24 minutes. A train then connects Freising Train Station with Passau Main Station.
Before booking your flights, please contact me. I will assist you with finding a suitable and refundable flight connection.

Your directions from the Central Station to the judges’ hotel
Passau main train station is an easy 600-metre walk from the hotel. Leave the station using the main doors, turn right and walk along Bahnhofstraße (approx. 500 metres) until you get to Ludwigsplatz. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and you will see the pink Hotel Weisser Hase on the corner of Ludwigstraße and Heiliggeistgasse. Head towards the pedestrianized zone and turn right into Heiliggeistgasse (hotel entrance).
